Message I don't have that much experience with engines but I think you need to talk to a good engine builder - You may want to check that it's not dumping obscene amounts of fuel and running a super rich mixture. Don't know what the effect is on a engine being run in but I'd say it wouldn't be the greatest (oil gets washed off the bores by the rich mixture so the bores don't get lined properly with oil, thin oil/fuel mixture can return to oil at idle).

You can do a quick check by smelling the oil on the dipstick, if it smells of petrol badly you may want to talk to a tuner just to get some fuel trimmed out over the break in period. Either that or nice black/blue smoke out the exhaust. I wouldn't say your mileage is *that* shitty though.. thats what I get on a weekly basis... mind you driving style accounts for a lot LOL !

You may convince me to buy some of those turbos yet :) :)

: My stock turbos sounded like a mini jet engine whining. These turbos don't wine. They make a swoosh sound like air is being sucked in . I can't wait to see how well they feel at full throttle once it is tuned and broken in. I have 200 miles on it so far and I took it up to 4500 rpm at 3/4 throttle. I get 8lbs of boost at about 4000 rpm at half throttle. It looks like the lag won't be that bad at full throttle once it is tuned. These ball bearing turbos spool so nicely. Once I get up to 60mph the AL DS vibrates. John from Powertrain is going to send me out another one. If this second one won't cut it, then I will get a stock 2-piece.
: I am guessing my shitty gas mileage is from having a new tight engine and also untuned.
